;D Hit Stuart beach access nr 6 today around 8am (after dropping kiddys off at school bus). Two pods of bait (and some mullet) north and south. Tried working in between pods as they were too far north and south with really no luck. Went north to Herman and then Walton Rocks. No birds, not bait, no fish (around 830 or 9am), Decided to go back south and home. Stopped off at Beach access 6 again. Two people were catching some Ladies (fish that is) and small Pomps. I saw birds working around 1/4 mile south , so I said what the heck, I am gonna try. Walked south. Got around 40 yards from pod of glass minows and saw two 60/80 pound tarpon in `1foot of working swimming right through bait. Started casting sthingy outside pod of bait, and bam bam bam, every cast, a Lady, Spanish, or bluefish. Great fun. My own pod of bait and all alone.. but then again, it is more fun with others (that know how to fish are there).... By the time I ended up, I had released around 20 fish, lost 20 squared fish (bigh blues were very hard to hook on my light tackle) and finaly got cut off. Now, as I was on my way home in the first place, I had only taken one rod with one lure, so I didnt have any more tackles. Walked 3/4 of a mile back to steps and oh no, there was another pod of glass minnows working south. I was too tired, too hot and besides, I had to come home and trade the market to lose money ha ha... time was 11am when I left. Bottom line, look for the birds, look for a dark spot near shore where the birds are, and run there with you sthingy on light tackle... good fishing folks
