Well, in spite of the wind I actually had a pretty good weekend. I fished C23 morning and night all weekend long. Friday night, fourth cast with a chartruse flairhawk, 32" Snook....Saturday morning, red and white Top Dog, 22" snook.....Sunday night, Storm 5" Shad, 30" Snook.
And just a side note:
If you are fishing the C23 spillway, have respect for other anglers. The pier out there is only so big, with only a small area that gives you the ability to get your bait up against the wall. Many of the "regulars" I see down there have no problem casting in rotation. Please don't come down there and put 4 rods out bottom fishing. Odds are you aren't going to catch anything that way and you are just in the way. I know it is a public pier and people will do what they want but leave the end of the pier open to those of us who know what we are doing.....Novices stay at the far end and watch....Maybe you will learn something!!!
