Where are the reports? Aside drom the monthly Catch 22 reports(which are really archives of last years reports...lazy). I guess everyone else on this forum is like me and just checks to see if anyone else has posted a report. Well, I guess I'll take the initiative. I've fished every day for the past week. The snook are definately getting fired up. Most of my time has been spent around a certain spillway. The action has been good for the under sized snook. Last night the breeders were definately mixed in but waited untill the cover of darkness to get active. My baits of choice lately have been Flair Hawks(chartruse) and storm wild eye shad....Rattletraps are producing as well. I know this report is a little vague but since no one else seems to be posting reports, I don't see reason to give away too much information. So get out there and catch em...Good luck and Tight Lines!!!

I guess I fall into the just checking category, but I do appreciate your info. As a South Georgian, I don't get down there to fish as much as I'd like, so I can use the scouting reports. I'll be down this weekend through the first part of next week and any heads up would be welcomed. Thanks.

I have been fishing for snook around the hells gate area late evening and night.
I have had one snook cut the line
I have had one tarpon in the boat he was about 4 feet long
I have had one sheep head and
10 mangrove snapper.
The snook and tarpon were on live mullet caught in a cast net on the way out of the pocket.
I am new to snook fishing and really have no idea what I am doing.
I wish someone would tell me how to catch them.

If you are reffering to the C23 Spill way, take Martin downs toward the turnpike...Make a right at the Walgreens. At the traffic circle take a left. The canal is about a mile down...park on the right before you get to the bridge. In response to the other post. It sounds like you are doing almost everything right. If you keep getting cut off, try beefing up your leader. I use a 50lb Yozuri Flourocarbon leader for bigger snook. I try to use at least 3 feet of leader, but if there are tarpon around you may want to use more. Any how, I hope that helps....T
